What We Do


ColoradoBuildingWorkshop, the Department of Architecture’s design build certificate program, has served the broader community by partnering with non-profit organizations on a variety of innovative projects. The certificate centers on the practical application of architectural theory and promotes a blend of hands-on skills, creative design, and cutting edge materials to construct buildings for communities in need.

2016 Next Stage Gallery


ColoradoBuildingWorkshop partnered with Denver Arts and Venues to design and renovate a space in the Denver Performing Arts Complex that supported their mission to enhance Denver’s quality of life through premier public venues to showcase University of Colorado Denver student work.

2017 Confluence Hall


ColoradoBuildingWorkshop partnered with the Colorado Outward Bound School’s Southwest Program to design and build a community space for their Moab Campus. The building is organized into four zones – exterior gathering, interior gathering, cooking, and “the spa”.
